In the small old church of the picturesque village of Sirk in the Gemer region, there was a joyful cheering and clapping of festively dressed children from the nearby Roma settlement of Šrobárka, who spontaneously reacted to the oldest recorded Roma songs in our collections from the 18th century. As part of the One Music project, Mishko Palko, playing the shalmai, table dulcimer and pipes, and Miloš Valent on baroque violin, after initial shyness, made the children, some of whom spontaneously began to sing songs known throughout the settlement, burst into applause. The performance took place in the framework of the baptism of children with the parish priestess A. Polcková.
